Akarana Young Mariners
Akarana Young Mariners operates in central Auckland around Remuera and Orakei. We meet on Tuesday evenings at 6pm - 8.30pm during the summer terms where we sail, row and kayak in the Orakei Basin. Whilst it is salt water, Orakei Basin is not tidal so we have perfect access to the water every week. In the winter we have an active programme focusing on theory and badge work, extending the skills of our young mariners.

Where to find us
We operate from our boat shed on Orakei Basin, Remuera. This provides us with safe sailing in salt water but not at the mercy of the tides.
